Rule of the Week 9: Elevated Guideway

This rule of the week allows you to create elevated rail guideways. You can create these in CityEngine using a graph, and in this example I show how you can make them coincident with your streets. I use the rail guideway rule from the Redlands Example for lines at grade, and the linked elevated guideway below for lines above grade. Give the rules, and creating rail in your scenes in general, a try.

You can download the rule here: http://bit.ly/ROTW_ElevatedGuideway

The rule of the week is a way for Esri to share the research and demonstration work it does with Computer Generated Architecture (CGA) over the course a year with you. As such, these rules are provided as is, with no guarantees, and are used at your own risk. We will not be updating them over time, and they serve primarily as examples of what can be done with CGA.
